Katie has over ten years' litigation experience within a number of sectors and is capable in handling a wide range of disputes having worked for a number of regional and international law firms.

Katie's experience ranges from basic debt claims and enforcement to complex breach of contract and misrepresentation cases. She also has experience in dealing with director and shareholder disputes, partnership disputes, s994 unfair prejudice petitions as well as providing general advisory work, including intellectual property advice.

    • Commercial disputes of all sizes (from small debt recovery cases to claims/defences where the damages exceed £5million pound;

     

    • Shareholder and director disputes including S994 petitions;

     

    • Intellectual property disputes and protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights generally;
  • Assisting with multi-million pound claim in a mining dispute.  Arranging and preparing for mediation and being instrumental in delivering advice in relation to the disclosure pilot under CPR Practice Direction 51U.  
  • Assisting with defence and counterclaim of complex renewable energy breach of contract/misrepresentation claim where damages exceeded £2million.
  • Providing ad hoc intellectual property advice to iconic arts centre in Cardiff Bay to include advising in relation to copyright and trademark infringement and enforcement and passing off claims. 
  • Assisting with large agricultural partnership dispute and successful at trial in obtaining declaration for division of land and assets worth over £3million.
