Applications for our 2021 Training Programme are now closed.
We recognise that our people are our biggest asset. We are therefore committed to developing our lawyers and offering a full and varied training programme for our trainee solicitors.
Training contracts are available in our Cardiff, London and Swansea offices to commence in September each year. Our trainees are recruited 18 months ahead, therefore if you apply in December 2019 your application will be considered for a training contract to commence in September 2021.
We are a progressive commercial law firm which is reflected in our people. We therefore look for candidates who have a strong academic background and a keen interest in the commercial world. Practical work experience in a commercial environment (legal or otherwise) is also beneficial.
We have excellent retention rates and a high proportion of our trainees stay with us on qualifying.
For further information on our training contracts and how to apply, please see the FAQ below:
What to expect during your training contract with Acuity Law?
During our training contract, candidates will undertake a six-month rotation covering four legal disciplines across the firm. Our core disciplines include:
• Commercial property
• Corporate/Banking & Finance
• Commercial litigation
• Employment
• Technology
• Commercial contracts
We try to give our trainees the opportunity to develop their own careers by choosing which departments they wish to cover during their training contract. Therefore, whilst we will allocate your first seat, you will be invited to put forward your preferences for the remainder of your contract.
Our training contracts adopt a hands-on approach as we believe that you learn more by getting fully involved from the outset. You can also expect high levels of client interaction, partner-led supervision and engagement and real responsibility from your training contract.
We also have dedicated committees to ensure we deliver on employee wellbeing and corporate responsibilities, which are open for anyone to join and get involved with. We also have a very active social committee who love to get involved in charity bake offs, netball matches, sponsored cycles and quiz nights.
